From the website of Moleskine

The China we know well and which supplies our production needs, in fact, is not the China of cut-rate manufacturing, low levels of quality, and a complete disregard for copyrights and civil rights. It is the China that invented paper in the second century A.D., when the West was still using only parchment. It is the China that invented printing with movable type as early as the eleventh century--four centuries before Gutenberg. It is the China that boasts a great tradition of working with paper, of book-binding, paper-folding, calligraphy, and fine inks. It is the refined China of the great tradition that was handed down to Japan and then spread throughout the world.

So let’s settle this once and for all: in Italian, it’s “mo-leh-SKEE-neh”; in French, it’s “mo-lə-SKEEN”; and in English, it’s “those little notebooks with the oilcloth covers.”

现在打死我也不买Moleskine了,unless it's cheaper than 5 euro.
